Perma Check

Perma-chess is a chess-inspired tower defense roguelike where players defend a stationary King by strategically placing chess pieces that attack based on their traditional movement patterns. Enemies advance across a grid-based board in turn-based waves, forcing players to plan placements carefully, adapt to new threats, and evolve their strategy through upgrades and unlocks. In addition to towers, players can place walls to manipulate enemy pathing, creating their own custom routes and optimized kill zones.

This is my biggest project to date with myself fully designing the game and being a flex as working in programming throughout the project. This project had many hurdles which were later resolved. As initially I had an idea but it was as thought out as it should have been, I made it too complex and not perceivable for my team. Later as I revised and worked to create this game and rework it for player to enjoy and understand it became a well made and thought out game.

Level Design

Level Designing for a project called Swing You Sinner, Which was a grappling prototype, where players grappled through levels trying to reach the end while building momentum and dodging hazards.

The first few levels were basic with not much going on just to teach the players how to play, But as I got farther through the production I realized the players needed more challenge. To reach this goal I implemented Moving objects and transforming their sizes and rotations to challenge the player to reach the end of the level.
